The initial reason for the development of Shimo was the lousy software-implementation of the Cisco-VPN-Client for Mac OS.

Shimo is a tool that wants to do it the MacOS-way: That means to reduce the interface to the important features and integrate it right into the user-interface of the OS.

Thus the interaction with this piece of software is absolutely intuitive and self explanatory. Try it out and you will see what we are speaking of…

Here are some key features of “Shimo”:

· Supports Multiple Services (Cisco, OpenVPN, IPSec, PPTP, L2TP, SSH…)
· Advanced Notification System (growl, AppleScript, Speech…)
· Secure Storage of Passwords in Apple’s Keychain
· Automatic (Re-)Connection on Wakeup, Network-Changes, etc.
· Global Shortcuts for fast Connection/Disconnection

Requirements:

· Cisco VPN Client (v4.9.00.0050 recommended).

What’s New in This Release:

· Fixed SSH bug related to passwords in Keychain
· Added error icon to dock
· Added statistics window!
· Fixed a bug with crashing vpnc
· Nag screen can be minimized now
· Fixed some Cisco importing problems
· Minor bugfixes…
