LastTab is a tabbed browsing extension that alters tab navigation. Primarily it modifies Ctrl-Tab to switch to recently selected tabs, rather than always going from left-to-right. Allows tab navigation in a most recently used manner.

While you still have the Ctrl key held down a window will appear displaying your list of tabs. Pressing tab will then navigate to different tabs in the list. When you release the Ctrl key the currently selected item will be made current. It acts very much like Alt-Tab does on Windows.

Another function LastTab performs is putting a tab menu in your tab bar. This is similar to the popup window that appears when Ctrl-Tab is pressed but is geared more for mouse usage. (As a small convenience feature the tooltip for this menu displays the number of tabs you have open, in case you’ve ever wanted an easy way of knowing this.)

LastTab can also focus the most recently selected tab when a tab is either closed or clicked; tab flipping.

Requirements:

· Firefox: 1.0 or later

What’s New in This Release:

· The tab list and tab menu display the current url of the selected tab.
· The up and down arrow keys may be used to navigate the tab list menu items.
· Updated to work in Firefox 3.
· When focusing the most recently used tab upon closing the current tab, unread tabs are no longer inadvertently focused.
· Fixed a bug where focusing the most recently used tab upon clicking the current tab could sometimes not work properly.
· Up and down scroll arrows no longer appear if a tab list is displayed with enough tabs to cause it to expand off the screen.
· Setting the hidden preference “useTabMenu” to false prevents the tab menu from being hidden.
