Jedit is a Cocoa version of the popular text editor in Japan. Supports Unicode, Text Encoding Sniffer, Customizable Syntax Coloring, Fully Customizable Key Bindings, Split Editing Window, Line Numbers Display, Book Marking, Object Embedding (image, Quicktime Movie and files), Sorting etc.


Jedit has been around for more than 10 years, and it is continually being updated and improved.

· Improvements
· Improved the behavior of Multi-File Search and Replace so that the searching will be canceled immediately when the regular expression had an error.

· Leopard Compatibility
· Fixed a Window Menu shortcut key bug on Mac OS X 10.5(Leopard).
· Improved the toolbar font menu display on Mac OS X 10.5(Leopard) so that the font items are arranged in alphabetical order.
· Improved the behaviors of Find Panel, Find Results Window, Find & Select Panel, Preferences Panel, Script Window, License Panel and About Box, to be compatible with Leopard Spaces so that they always appear at the active space.
· Fixed a Save Panel bug on Mac OS X 10.5(Leopard) that the program crashed when the checkbox “If extension is not provided…” was clicked.
